Above all you must be solving a problem for them.

Today, we will focus on what problem you solve.

So, What Problem do you solve?

If you sell high-value products like website design or high-ticket coaching your services should be linked to one of these emotional drivers:

✍🏽 Reduce wastage or save time

✍🏽 Reduce negative emotions, ease pain or suffering

✍🏽 Increase emotional joy 😊

✍🏽 Save or make them money.

Let us look at an example of a High Price Camera.

Why would anyone still buy a camera, in these smartphone times? Everyone and their mama seem to have a phone with a camera. Everyone has become a cameraman.

So, it seems to be a waste of time to buy one. And good cameras cost a ton.

So why do people still buy cameras 📷

To make money 💰 or save it — If you’re a pro website designer, graphics designer, influencer, or content creator then you could buy a camera to take professional images that you can make money with.

In the long run, you save yourself and your clients money too with the content you create. The better the images the higher you charge thus more money 💰

Increased emotional benefits — many people require professional photos for their special moments e.g., the birth of a baby, christening, bridal baby shower, wedding, birthdays, graduation, any special day, to celebrate achievements.

Photos that a smartphone cannot deliver.

Every time we look at those photos, we’re reminded of the achievement. Pro photos can also be a gift to a loved one.

Such photos cost a minimum of £75 – £1000 per Image. Professional food photographers charge between £150 – 300 per image.

Production photography includes props, setting up and a per diem…see how a camera now becomes a full biz tool?

To reduce stress — simply taking beautiful photos with a beautiful machine as a hobby and stress relief can be a reason why one invests in a high-value camera.

Along the way these photos can become a source of income when uploaded to photo-sharing sites and every time someone uses your photo for their digital needs, you get paid. So, the camera is meant to replace their negative feelings with the feel-good factor.

Saving and making money 💰 can be the result when the above 2 happen to you the camera owner.

So, when you think about why anyone should still buy an expensive camera based on the above reasons, it makes sense. So, know the camera isn’t a wasted purchase, it saves you time and money, reduces stress, and increases emotional benefits.

You could make the same argument about any expensive watch when most people have a phone which tells time.

Now, as a business owner, this month sit down and explore what your product or service does for people’s emotional drivers 🤔 Create content and promotions around those drivers. Share on social media with a clear process.

  1. Great insights Julie. I’m a Christian blogger and I don’t sell anything but I’ve got to tell you I appreciate learning new things that I might need the knowledge of.
Thank you for hosting SSPS 272 Visiting from #’s 137&138.

    1. Hello Paula Short,

Thank you for stopping by from #SSPS. And I am glad you got some value.
You know, I used to say I don’t sell anything way back circa 2012 even though I was writing articles for my local ministry. Then One day a visiting Pastor was talking about how WE All are Selling something. Be it an idea of veg hidden in dessert to our young ones, our beliefs to others, our ideas at work, we are always selling something, although the outcome isn’t financial. Every time you share a message on your blog, be sure to make the best effort to “sell that message to a non-believer who may stumble across it.

      All the best
      Julie Syl
