I know you must be asking yourself,
“how do I strike the right balance between my faith and the super-fast world of digital marketing? Esp. when some of the people I serve think the internet is the devil’s spawn!”
Let’s go on a mini journey; imagine your website as a lighthouse on a rugged coastline. You’ve built something meaningful, with a mission to guide and support others; but if your light isn’t shining brightly, ships (potential clients) will sail past, unaware of the safe harbour and value you offer. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of building, and polishing your light, ensuring it cuts through the fog and reaches those navigating the digital seas, searching for exactly what you provide.
Just as a lighthouse must be visible to fulfil its purpose, your website needs to be optimised so your audience can find you when they need you most.
At Kalungi Group, we believe that our work and promoting it with integrity and faith is our mission and these two are in a synergistic relationship. While our faith drives our passion to serve, we are very much aware that we serve in a secular world that is predominantly capitalist. Which means we must embed soul and heart in all every task, role and service we provide. Thus, fulfilling our desire to be good workers in the vineyard of Source.
Now, if you don’t yet have a website in this digital revolution age, you need to fix that asap, and we can help. We offer a 30% discount on all our packages for charities and non-profits, simply let us know. If you already have a website, and it is not Search engine optimised our Blog SEO article will get you out of that rut. But is it AI Search Optimised? Below are the reasons showing…
Why Not Optimising Your Website Is Costing You Money.
- Your target audience cannot find you, so you miss out on valuable leads and opportunities.
- Competitors who invest in SEO are more likely to attract your ideal clients.
- You may have to rely more on paid advertising, which is costly and less sustainable.
- Poor visibility means your expertise and services go unnoticed, limiting your impact and growth.
- A lack of optimisation can make your business seem less credible or trustworthy online.
Now you may have a friend or relative who knows their stuff and is happy to do your SEO. Go ahead and bite their hand off already and get it done. But if you don’t have an SEO professional in your corner, here is;
Why It’s Important to Hire a Professional.
- Search Engine Optimisation is complex and ever-changing; more so with AI search taking centre stage esp. with millennials. So, as someone who is called and anointed to serve in your niche, understand that professionals stay up to date with the latest strategies and search engine guidelines. At Kalungi Group, we specialise in website design, creation, and refreshing existing sites.
- Experts can identify and fix technical issues that may be holding your site back from its intended mission. We offer seamless expert website management and wellness solutions to ensure a safe and seamless online presence.
- A professional will craft a tailored strategy that aligns with your business values and goals, ensuring ethical and effective results. It used to be said that content was King. We say strategic and optimised content is Queen and we know how to craft content that meets your target audience at their point of need. That could be blog articles, newsletter, e-Book and even a full ghost-writing service.
- You will save time and avoid costly mistakes by relying on proven expertise.
- We cannot emphasise enough how having the right partner will help you build not just quick one-off wins, but also lasting visibility and trust with your audience.
And with AI revolutionising the digital space, it is very important that you either learn how to optimise your website for AI Search or hire someone who knows how to structure your information for AI search. Now, lets talk about that.
How to structure your information for AI search.
First what doesn’t this mean? We aren’t talking about structured data i.e., meta tags, JSON, Schema although these are very important for SEO. We are talking about “structuring your content”, e.g. blog posts and web pages for AI. This means how you structure your content for large language models aka LLMs (not a legal master’s degree – although I have one of those,) to extract and show up in AI searches. We are talking ChatGPT summaries, Gemini overviews, Copilot ideas mapping, Bing AI, Perplexity citations, etc. You may need to dial in what AI SEO means for sure.
How you structure your content holds immense significance in determining its visibility. Unlike traditional search engines, such as Google, which rely on bots for indexing web pages without a personalised touch, AI operates differently. AI conducts in-depth analyses of your content, breaking it down into tokens to understand the intricate relationships between words, grammar, and the search query or prompt. This process highlights precisely why AI Search is crucial for your online success as entrepreneurs.
AI looks for semantic clarity then it delivers a personalised experience for the user that search engines cannot do at the time of publishing. Thus, giving the searcher exact pieces of content to verify and validate the data.
We aren’t saying using the right keywords, headings, and meta tags doesn’t matter, it still does, definitely for SEO. What really matter for AI Search is:
- The order and ranking in which content/data is presented.
- Formatting like use of bold fonts, bullet points, clear summaries.
- So, a clear well formatted, nested headlined article, with bullet points may show up in AI summaries or citations where an “old style SEO’d” one may not.
When comparing AI and SEO, think of it as comparing generations – SEO being the Boomers concerned with ranking and class, while AI is the Millennials focusing on representation, visibility, and precise results. With AI Search, you receive personalised, well-organised results, complete with direct links for fact-checking and verification. This is why AI Search is crucial for entrepreneurs.
So, for search purposes, AI is winning this race for millennials at least. Returning clear results from well formatted, well labelled, precise content that’s not long-winded paragraphs. So, structuring your content right will get you in AI searches and summaries and this is how you will stay agile in the digital space, in this AI revolution.
How to Stay Agile in this AI revolution
- Ensure Clarity, Define your content – preferably Short, Precise and Meaningful. I recommend front loading your best ideas because people and AI prioritise what shows up top. We used to call it above the scroll line.
- Structured formats like bold, bullet points, tables, lists these are what LLMs love and clearly, we humans do too.
- Use headings and subheadings – these are still sexy for AI searches. They speak to content hierarchy. So, be sure to nest your headings in order H1, H2, H3, H4, and so on.
- Short pieces or paragraphs – Yes, we know long form content is still in, but if you wish to get your piece into the sexy AI searches, then it may be best to keep paragraphs short and precise. You can offer details in a Podcast or Video. What we used to call Bricks i.e. large walls of text are even more intimidating today.
- Clear Cues – in your prompts use words/phrases like “the favourite part”, “in short” or “in summary”, “top list” for AI this speaks to value, and relevance.
- Keep your pop-ups and ads at the bottom of your page – to avoid diluting your message and thus losing the AI Search advantage.
P.S. Google’s Gemini still uses Structured Data – Schema, in its summaries and overviews, according to Ayeda Solis and Google reports in their April 2025 conference. This isn’t a contradiction of what we just shared with you above. It simply means that you can utilise both Schema – SEO and AI Structured formatting to create a win-win for your faith-based business. So, SEO is still here to stay, and you don’t necessarily have to re-optimise your old content if it was done properly in the first place.
In Summary:
AI Search and how LLMS retrieve data is more about precision than the old-style SEO techniques. Make sure your content is presented in a way that is easy to extract, interpret and present. Think shorter form content for long term success as opposed to short wins. Think like a farmer in other words.
